Tech Gas Training

CoCCLNG1, Changeover Domestic to Core Commercial Laundry Gas Safety, adds to CCN1 and provides for the core qualification that is normally a pre-requisite to have before attaining ‘CLE1’ (Installation of Commercial Gas Laundry Appliances). There are some exceptions to this, but generally most candidates must complete CoCCLNG1, to enhance their CCN1 qualification before adding the ‘CLE1’ qualification.  In broad terms CoCCLNG1 covers what you’ll need to know in order to understand the differences between Domestic and Commercial Laundry core gas safety. The training also makes reference the key differences between considerations for commercial appliances as opposed to domestic appliances. The course covers the following knowledge areas:

• Gas Safety Regulations
• Emergency Actions
• Combustion
• Ventilation
• Flueing
• Gas pipework
• Let-by, strength & tightness testing
• Re-establishing gas supplies
• Pressure regulators
• Gas rates & pressures
• Gas controls
• Emergency valves
• Unsafe situations

As well as:

• The key differences between domestic and commercial installations
• Other considerations for commercial laundry installations
• Additional requirements as might be variably relevant

As you can see CoCCLNG1 contains several modules and therefore training takes a number of days to complete, actual time dependent upon whether this is the first time you’ve completed this training or if it is a refresher course to renew qualifications you already hold. You must also allow time to undertake and successfully pass the associated theory and practical assessments associated with CoCCLNG1. These can also take a day or more to complete, again dependent upon the time you as an individual might need.
